I’m lucky my pldt dsl is stable. I can play in most Asian servers at playable pings. My experience with smartbro however is not so good. They (sales reps) just tell you that wherever there’s signal on your smart buddy mobile phone, you should get a good signal/internet speed. They should explain properly to their prospect buyers that they need to get to a cell site that can provide 3G signal or atleast HSDPA or Edge. Unfortunately, you only get 3G signals in the center of major cities in Philippines. Here in Cebu, I only get 3G signal at Fuente, Cebu Business Park and outsite SM city cebu. But whenever I report to my office, I only get GPRS, which is really really slow.
For those planning to get something for laptop while they are on the field, I recommend getting a smartbro and a globe visibility. That way you can get the best of both worlds because most of the time, where smartbro is strong, globe sucks and vice versa.
