R.U.S.E. trailer redefines tabletop strategy

This highly stylized live action trailer for R.U.S.E., a recently announced real-time strategy game being published by Ubisoft. Developed by Eugen Systems, the same company that created Act of War: Direct Action, R.U.S.E. will take advantage of Intel Core i7 technology and will allow players to outsmart each other using deception and misdirection. The game will release for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems.
“In R.U.S.E., players use their brain as the ultimate weapon, fighting a war of perception, where the ability to deceive and mislead the enemy determines success. A first in a strategy game, R.U.S.E. reinvigorates the genre by using deception to give new-found depth to the game play.”
But isn’t this what most RTS games are all about already? To be able to deceive, mislead the enemy so you can deliver a killing blow to his army or economy?
