ASUS Formula Series Gets on New York Times
by muzikfreakah on Jun.17, 2009, under PC Hardware

Frankly, I cannot wait to get my hands on one.
The Asus Formula Series graphics card.
Computer graphics cards, which take computer data and help turn it into images on a monitor, are almost always invisible, stuck in the bowels of a PC tower or jammed into the innards of a laptop. They are essentially fancy circuit boards, not meant to be seen.
Enter Asus, and the Formula Series graphics cards.
The housing of the card is shaped like an F1 racing car: the “body” is shaped in metal. There’s a front “wing” of sorts, a nose and even a rear wing that covers the card’s “chassis,” its heat sinks and cooling fans (graphics cards, like F1 engines, can run hot). The only thing missing is a Shell or Bridgestone logo.
The angle here is Asus’s claim that the aerodynamic shell allows a 7 percent improved airflow as well as keeping dust off the fan. That extends the card’s operational lifespan to up to 10,000 hours, about 25 percent longer than traditional cards, Asus says.
For gamers and graphics professionals, video cards are a crucial component in a PC, and advancements in graphic technology are constant, so do-it-yourselfers often upgrade these components. The cards also vary wildly in price, from less than $100 to more than $500. Asus hasn’t set a price yet on the Formula Series.

Iphone 3G”S” Officially Announced
by muzikfreakah on Jun.16, 2009, under PC Hardware
Well, I love all the new additions, for me, most of them are not really Ground breaking additions but actual must have’s that almost all other powerful devices already have except of course for the compass and the blazing fast processor which is a end result of good processor and software combination.
Again, it is making my decision to buy my next device even harder!

HTC Touch Pro 2
by muzikfreakah on Jun.08, 2009, under Others

How I wish I could have done this review myself, well, when this will be available in the Philippines, I will surely review it. In the meantime here are a couple of videos that will just make you drool over this device.
Thank’s to pocketnow.com for these videos.
Pocketnow.com’s Unboxing:
Pocketnow.com’s Hardware Tour
Pocketnow.com’s Software Tour
My short take upon seeing these videos
- I know that start menu of the touch pro 2 would still take a lot of getting use too but hey, there is always this free application called QUICKMENU which I find will give me an even better user experience. I always have it on my HTC TOUCH DUAL.

-The Screen size is a definite plus for me. In fact, before the HTC Touch Pro 2, my eye was set on the HTC TOUCH HD. There was even rumor they would call the HTC Touch Pro 2 as the HTC TOUCH HD 2 instead.
-They Definitely also improved speed on both phone operation and touch maneuvering which brings it to almost the same level as the iphone.
-I think right now this is just the ultimate Windows Mobile Device out there and nothing can compare to it. Can’t wait to have my hands on one!
