Padma Lakshmi, the host of Bravo’s Top Chef, is the latest beauty to get down and dirty for a Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr. ad campaign.

The former model follows the Paris Hilton route and gets intimate with a beefy hamburger, seductively consuming an oozing burger, licking and slurping it down. She recounts in a sultry voice-over how as a teenager she would sneak out to grab a burger and consume it without leaving any evidence.

Lakshmi has long been a fan of the fast food restaurant. In her 2007 cookbook, Tangy, Tart, Hot and Sweet, she wrote, “The sublimely pleasurable taste of bacon…was further enhanced by its mingling with the barbeque sauce, greedily licked off as it dripped down my teenage fingers.” The burger helped transform the teenage vegetarian into a meat-eater.

We all know that the PC gaming industry is full of women developers as well as men but for some reason it’s always something special when a development team focuses on their female members. Such is the case for the Battlefield Heroes team at Digital Illusions as their web site has posted up some Q&As with three members of their staff.

One of them is Bernadet Bomoni (pictured here) who serves as the team’s Business Development Manager. Her job? ” I work mostly on partnerships with other companies trying to promote Heroes the best way possible.” One of the other ladies on the team with an interview is Service Operations Manager Tina Wellner. The third and finale female team member who gets some quotes is Åsa Carlsson, the Development Director on the team.

If you are expecting some kind of Playboy letter-style chat you will be disappointed but the three team members go talk about their work and their opinions on women in the game industry. When asked if they have had any dealings with sexism in the workplace, Bernadet states, ” I have never experienced anything in this field. The people here are not a bunch of kids and they know what is appropriate and what is not.”

Much has been made about the fact that this summer’s Ghostbusters game from developer Terminal Reality and publisher Atari will feature the vast majority of the original movie’s cast returning to voice their roles. One that didn’t make it was Sigourney Weaver who played the role of Bill Murray’s love interest Dana Barrett in both Ghostbusters films.

Now the Associated Press reports that the main female character in the game is an all original cast member named Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn. She’s described as “the brainy guest curator of a ‘World of Gozer’ exhibit at the Natural History Museum.” The actress who plays her role is anything but a nerd, however. It’s major 1980s dream girl Alyssa Milano. The AP quotes Milano as saying, “Obviously, fans of the movie are going to miss Sigourney Weaver. I have so much respect for that character in the movie that I hope I do the position that she is in justice. I was just flattered to be asked to be part of ‘Ghostbusters’.” Hey, we are glad you were asked, too.
